Story time is a wonderful way to support children's language and communication skills. As children listen to stories, they are introduced to new words, ideas, and ways of expressing themselves. I enjoy encouraging children to participate by repeating phrases, identifying characters, answering questions, and sharing their thoughts about the story.

Reading to young children also gives me an opportunity to encourage their imagination and creativity. When children hear a story, they can visualize the characters, settings, and events in their minds. I enjoy asking questions and encouraging children to share what they think will happen next or how they would respond if they were one of the characters.

Children become excited when they recognize a familiar story or character. Their expressions, questions, and reactions make story time interactive and meaningful. I believe children learn best when they are actively involved, and reading allows me to create an experience that is both educational and enjoyable.

Most importantly, I believe story time helps create a positive relationship between children and learning. A good story can teach children about emotions, relationships, problem-solving, kindness, and many other important life skills. My goal has always been to make reading fun and memorable while helping children develop a lifelong love for books and learning.

Think about your favorite book-What kept you engaged? How did it make you feel? Did you use the story as a learning lesson for yourself or did you use it to teach others? Always remember to share your knowledge with the world to help grow the knowledge of others.
